Okay no worries. There's a 655pm flight so if for some reason you can get out earlier and want to take united, that's the one i would take.

Good call, i'd just make sure that is refundable. You can have two bookings on different airlines so thats not an issue

I booked a premium seat so I am supposed to be able to cancel. That’s really the only option I see if the assumption is United will keep delaying or cancel the flight.

Not entirely sure about their cancellation process for just a normal premium seat vs a refundable fare.
We could get you on a redeye to newark that leaves at 1118pm then connect to a 1025am landing at 125pm?
Or redeye at 1115pm to ORD then a 735am to IAH getting in at 1040am
Or Dulles. You've got options on united if you at least just want to get out of LAS
Just a heads up, it looks like Spirit has already cancelled the saturday night flight from nashville to vegas. The flight tonight is using that inbound plane so i'm not sure where your inbound plane will come from

That doesn’t sound fun haha. Good thing is I will still have a hotel and I don’t have a checked bag so if it doesn’t work out I’ll just return to the hotel haha Las Vegas isn’t the worst place to be if it’s impossible to make it back to Houston.

Well I see some planes still landing at DFW but so far nothing taking off this morning. Looks like the first plane that tried to de-ice was a DFW-CHS flight that was supposed to leave last night, pushed from the gate this morning, de-iced, then went back to a gate. Long day for those people AA 1390
AA2265 DFW-MIA is de-icing currently, hope to see at least something make it out

Last minute changed my ATL-MEM connection yesterday on the way home from BCN. Got the last flight from ATL-MEM as the last 3 of the evening were canceled. Luck was working in my favor.

We’re supposed to go to DC Wednesday thru Sunday.

Usually the airlines will fly the flights that go back to the hubs and won't get stranded overnight, that's why those last 3 cancelled but yours made it to MEM

Glad you made it back

Should be clear delay wise by then but a foot of snow in DC will likely still be on the ground by the time you get there. Get your snow boots ready

Thanks Cuse. I already don’t like to fly. Now with icy conditions I’m more nervous. Keep having to remind myself that planes fly into Antarctica.

I'd rather fly into DC 3 days after a snowstorm on a sunny day than flying today into a sleeting DFW or into DC tomorrow night in a snowstorm...
We have our first departure of the day from DFW! AA1273 to PNS

so the united flight is officially canceled. spirit hasnt said anything and the flight this morning at 1am made it to houston and should return in at 11pm tonight then head back to houston at 1am. Are you seeing alot of cancellations in that timeframe in houston
Posted on 1/24/26 at 11:11 am to diat150
Rebook confirmed on United in case the spirit flight cancels. I'm not seeing a ton of other cancellations yet for iah but I need to look further

Glad you're getting out, sorry your plans had to be cut short. Inbound for the 2pm is on its way from Chicago so looking good for today

Any chance Atlanta has issues Tuesday morning?
Posted on 1/25/26 at 7:25 pm to CuseTiger
I changed my flight to tomorrow a couple days ago, didn’t even check to see if original made it.
