Visiting daughter end of July with family looking for must do’s and off the beaten path restaurants. Staying E. Village, Tribeca, So Ho area. Thanks

I just typed a huge paragraph and hit submit and this site crashed and my work disappeared. Just go to Pizza Suprema for a slice.

Did you mean West Village? Figured you might have with mention of SoHo and Tribeca. Anyway, few random favorites in this area:
Favorite beer bar is Blind Tiger. Hit up Carmine for best takeaway selection, but they also have some taps. John’s will be the popular recommendation for pizza. Percy’s is fantastic for the $1-3 price point. LB is my favorite cocktail bar — subterranean lounge through an unmarked door near 7th and Houston. Super intimate, dark spot. Joseph Leonard is my go-to restaurant in West Village. Opened by Gabriel Stulman, who was a Wisconsin alum! Their patio is solid enough, but I really like inside. It’s a tighter space and pretty lively. I am typically in Brooklyn, so I don’t do much for breakfast in this part of Manhattan. However, my wife did grab a bagel from Leon’s in SoHo one morning last month. She really liked it. I haven’t given it go, but it’s a newer walk-up window.

I enjoyed walking around Little Italy/Nolita area. Narrow streets and more trees and less traffic.

They do a food tour there that is excellent. Give you a lot of history and go through the NOLITA area and lots of mob/godfather tidbits. Plus good food and drinks while touring.

I second this suggestion. I try to hit it every time I’m in NYC.

I second this. Beer is cheap and options are simple. Fun experience
