What percentage of NYC is minority? Not sure that's a reason to not visit somewhere.

London has always, well for the past 100 years at least, been a very diverse city due to all of their colonies. But I certainly did not notice a "larger" muslim population than you'd see in any other big city.

One place I forgot to mention is the Atlantic Wall museum in Oostende, Belgium. This section of the Atlantic Wall is in pristine condition. I really enjoyed touring this place. The town is a very nice coastal town also. I think it’s worth checking out during your time in Belgium.

I walked through their neighborhood several times going to and from Cantillon, even did some shopping and everyone I came in contact with was as nice as can be.

probably not do Brussels again

This.

I worked in Belgium for a few months and had a great time in Antwerp, Ghent, Bruges, etc. but felt like I wasted the time I spent in Brussels. Cologne, Amsterdam, and Paris are all easy trips if you want to venture out of the country.

Driving in Europe is easier than driving in major US cities. Waze and Google Maps work fine just be sure to have to right data plan.

Welcome, I've been a lot and I've always found out it is just easy to drive around Europe. The roads are never crowded, no one really speeds, and everyone is nicer driving.
If using apps like Google and Waze it makes it very easy to navigate everything. From Brussels to Amsterdam you are looking at an hour drive which isn't bad at all.

Well ... we made the trip to Belgium and so far it has been FANTASTIC. Flew into BRU ... rented a car and drove ~ 50 kilometers to a B&B. Our host has been great in every aspect ... a true host, wonderful breakfast, able to answer 99% of my questions.
Made visited several of the local towns and cities and was able to locate a few graves with my family name. Visited Bastogne and the museum and memorial there. Diest, Leuven, Miskom, Aarschot, etc.
Tomorrow it's back to BRU to drop off the rental ... then a train ride to Amsterdam to take a 7 day river cruise.

FYI... found it very easy and very interesting with driving here. Easy to get around, very good roads ......... AND big trucks drive in the right lane at a slower speed than cars AND when a car moves to the left lane to pass slower traffic, they put on a blinker and get back in the right lane.
