Tell me about Hard Rock in Biloxi

Going this weekend, Beau Rivage didn't have any rooms available so we decided on Hard Rock since it's next to it. How is it? Good pool and sportsbook?

Pool is better than the Beau. Sports book is small, no real sports atmosphere were a bunch of people are really into a game. In that regard, Beau has them beat by a mile. Good luck getting a table there unless you possess some pull with a high ranking players card.
I go back and forth between the two, depending on my mood. Beau and more affluent crowd. BR Prime USED to be the best steakhouse, but I've had some bad meals recently and the service has been sub-par considering what they charge. Half-Shell Oyster House at HR is good. The Royal Reds are awesome, as is there chargrilled oysters. They do a really good redfish there also. Jia at the Beau is also highly recommended.

I went two(?) years ago for a Live concert (or maybe it was Sister Hazel - shite, I don't remember.)
ANYWAY, we got a decent price on a really nice room. Room was great, whatever restaurant we went to was pretty good, and I loved the memorabilia everywhere.
A big negative for me was that it smelled like smoke everywhere, including my room. I know it's a casino, and I know they try to filter it out - but if cigarette smoke bothers you, it's going to bother you.

Walked thru last month. Biggest impression was the noise level…super loud music pumped onto casino floor. Second biggest impression was that the casino floor had fewer table games than expected.
We didn’t stay there so can’t vouch for the rooms, pool, etc.
But, we left after 15 mins for the reasons above.

Beau Rivage has nicer rooms and a much better pool, IMO. The little nightclub/bar thing was also more fun than the 70s theme one at Hard Rock, but it has been a few years now.
Hard Rock has Ruth's Chris, so they have the dining advantage in that regard. And the rooms/pool certainly weren't bad.
Agree that it is very smoke smelling throughout the hotel and casino. I don't mind smoke smell, but just something to keep in mind if you do.

Is it that bad? Won't really bother me but might bother my gf. Any other casino hotels that would be recommended? I have been to a few of the casinos but never stayed in any of the hotels.

Been about 2 years since we've stayed in Biloxi, but Hard Rock was one of our favorite places to stay. Mid-range prices compared to other places, and walking distance from the Beau if you're looking for a bigger casino to play in.
The spa passes are pretty cheap if you're looking to sit in a sauna/steam room for an hour or so while the Mrs. gets something done. Haven't been to the pool too much, but it's serviceable. Robot bar is pricey, but cool. The casino games did seem a bit outdated compared to the others nearby, so I'd recommend doing the short walk if you're a big slots person.
As another poster recommended, we stayed at the White House nearby and ubered to the casinos last time we went to Biloxi, and that seems like the way to go in the future.

Scarlett Pearl has the most updated casino rooms right now but theyre on the bay
Unless you’re getting comped at the Beau, HR or GN, you should look to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn or Doubletree. Both very nice and can throw a baseball at the three casinos. White House is nice too but it’s not as close to the action. There are also some nice BnB’s in ocean springs if you’re so inclined

Thought about this but our room at the HR would actually be about $100 cheaper than staying at either of the those hotels.

Can you go to the Nugget pool on weekends if you aren't staying there? I know M-F you can for $20
