Weekend trip to Denver and taking in a game Friday. Where should we try to get seats? The group will want to try a lot of beers and stadium food and walk around and explore. Any recs on where to try and sit?

They have a bunch of rooftop bars near the stadium you can drink at before

When we went last year, we got the general admission tickets which allow you to watch the game from the rooftop bar area. The ticket was maybe $15 dollars and they give you a $5-$6 credit to use at the bar. It is mostly standing room for the game, but if you get there early enough, there are some seats available. It is great view of the game, downtown backdrop, and the mountains.

So this is actually inside the stadium, correct? That sounds like what we will want to do

There are some YUGE bars out in right field that are a great spot to watch the game. Great views of the city and mountains, and good people all around. There’s one on each level so you can get SRO for cheap and pop between them or could maybe find seating in the Rooftop bar and grab some food. I was impressed, one of my favorite MLB parks for sure.
It was slam packed when I went since this was right before the the playoffs started and they were playing the Dodgers, so it was a frenzied playoff atmosphere. We had a blast and I was wearing an LSU shirt so I had convos with a few fans about LeMahieu.

This is what you should do. Would also recommend making a stop at ViewHouse before the game.

cool stadium. Not sure if they still have it, but they had a Blue Moon bar/restaurant in right field that literally had 10-12 different Blue Moon beers on tap. Pretty good stuff

Beers are $3 till first pitch on the rooftop so hang out up there till the game starts. I’d suggest getting seats somewhere else if you want to watch the game, most people at the rooftop aren’t too concerned about baseball.

Just avoid down the right field line - that is where the sun sets and it's miserable looking into the sun
We did the centerfield bleachers - tickets were pretty cheap - nice view of bullpen area and can see the mountains from pretty much any vantage point.

The rooftop will be packed. Get there early if you plan on trying to watch the game from here. The venue is awesome. They've done a great job with their stadium and was a highlight of our Colorado trip. Wish we had spent more time in Denver instead of Boulder.
As already mentioned, you want to be on the third base side of the stadium for an afternoon game. You'll appreciate being in the shade for the game!

We caught a Rockies game last August while in Denver on the RoofTop, I believe tickets were $15 each and included a $6 concession credit that we used on beers.
Prior to the game we hopped around different breweries and drank before going to the stadium, Ratio Beerworks and Epic Brewing were my favorites and about a mile from the stadium.
If you get there early before 1st pitch beers are $3 but I think that was Coors products only. It was more crowded than I expected for a Tuesday night and we couldn't find a spot with a good view of the stadium so we ended up finding a seat near a little patio area in the back and couldn't really see much of the game. Wish we'd have gotten there earlier to avoid that.
A few in our group had Chub Burger and said it was really good, we didn't feel like waiting in the long line so got food elsewhere.

The Rooftop area is awesome. If its a weekday gsme against a crappy opponent, you should able to get cheap tickets almost anywhere.
Im sitting behind home dugout on Friday night vs the Reds for under $50.
Blake Street Tavern is just a couple blocks from the stadium. My favorite spot to go for a couple beers after the game.

Yes, would definitely recommend. Got to watch a day game out there on my last trip to Denver. Grabbed a ChuBurger and had several craft beers. Good times.
If you like beer, directly behind home plate about a half block, check out Falling Rock Tap House. Tons of great beers options for pre or post game.

Scalp for extra cheap after the game starts, go to rooftop are in right center field upper deck, win. Any ticket in gets you up to the rooftop, so just buy the cheapest ticket you can to get in the stadium. check out rooftops nearby before and after the game...Jackson's, Viewhouse, Lodo's, Tavern, Sports Column, Ignite. Also, Oskar Blues just opened an awesome new spot a few blocks away, Cherry Cricket did as well closer to the stadium. Tons of other bars around the stadium too. Enjoy, we may be there too. Forecast looks awesome this weekend here.

Take some edibles and every seat seems great.
