SW Destinations with family

Have some SW flight credits that expire in November, so I need to book a trip somewhere. Wife and kids are off for Thanksgiving, so we're looking at doing something that week. Scrolled through the list of SW routes, narrowed it down to these:
Boise
Charleston
Memphis (have family there)
Norfolk (Outer Banks NC)
Salt Lake City
Kids are 11 and 8, we're in NOLA. Trying to make this a "cheap" 5-7 day trip. Thoughts on this list, places I'm overlooking? Considered NYC, but I'd rather save that one when it's less restrictive.

Some of those places may be in snow at that time. That is likely where I would start my considerations, what kind of weather are you wanting/prepared for? That will affect what you can do in each city.

Not picky, snow is fine. Skiing is out though, did that for Mardi Gras this year, trying to make this one cheap.

There are historical sites to visit, light houses, and the wild horses to see; some hiking trails.
You can drive to Hatteras and take the ferry to Ocracoke.
Normally most restaurants are still open in Nov but I think some may have permanently closed so this year may be different. There are not a lot of hotels on the OBX but you can probably rent a house really cheap. There is a Hilton Garden Inn near Kill Devil Hills and a Hampton at Duck; and a few others.
