Downtown is nice. You can also check out the GB zoo if you’re into that, or go to Ft. Walton and check out the gulfarium. I’ve lived at the beach in Pcola for almost a year, it’s a great place.

Do not leave without eating at the Fisherman’s Corner in Perdido Key.

It's been a couple or 5 years since I've been there but we always enjoyed The Grand Marlin, Hemmingway's, and Flounder's. Drive out east of town and go through the park headed to Navarre Beach or hit a couple of the fishing piers to waste an enjoyable day.

Edit: Ahi Tuna Poke and the She Crab Soup at The Grand Marlin is HIGHLY recommended.

I second this recommendation. Food is great. Grouper Picatta is outstanding.

There is a small zoo to the East of Pensacola that is pretty cool. They have a cool collection of pigmy monkeys. I found the zoo interesting as it was a small private zoo.
Sorta reminded me of the “ Fierce Creatures” Zoo.

The Naval Museum is definitely worth a visit. We went in 2015 and really enjoyed it.

Eat lunch at the restaurant that came from Subic Bay in the Philippines. I think they call it Cubi Café. If I remember correctly it has authentic decorations that they moved to the states after we closed the navy base there. The sandwich we had was ok but the atmosphere was unique.

There is a lot to see. The aircraft carrier models are especially cool. I thought I had some pictures of those but can not find them.

Fort Barrancas is near the museum and we visited that many years ago but I remember it as being one of the better ones that I have seen.

If you want something a little different from the beach check out Blackwater River State Park or Blackwater River State Forest. They are about an hour drive. Google 'em.

If you tire of seafood try Rodizio Grill, a Brazilian steakhouse, or Saltgrass Steak House. They are both chains but we don't have them where I am and I liked them both. They are both just across the bridge from Pensacola Beach.

If you find yourself over at Destin check out the Donut Hole Bakery Café. They make key lime pies fresh daily but you will probably have to pre order, we didn't and did not get one. They have other food also.
