My wife's employer had a house there. Stayed there many times.

It is so exclusive, it's boring. There is no one on the beach except for the Cloister and then it's just a few. There are no restaurants or any type of commercial enterprise unless you go to/invited to the Cloister.

The last time we were there, the landscapers started at 10 AM and went forever.

Is it nice? Extremely. There was a G8 summit held there. The skeet range is top notch. Bring your Krieghoff.

Yeah, I was worried about that.

Thanks.

How long will you be there? Will you have a car?

St Simons has some good food offerings and a few historic sites.

Savannah is a day trip.

If you are a golfer it is a fantastic resort. You can get a charter fishing trip, ride horses on the beach or just relax. Used to spend a month every summer from the time I was seven until around 35. It's a great family trip. We rented a "cottage" on the island.

There’s a burger place in the way in called Certified Burgers. I thought it was really good.
