Road Trip of the South East for a pair of Brits

I figured this would be a good crowd to ask. I have a friend and her husband coming to visit for a week and they are planning a road trip afterwards. Starting in Nashville for 2 nights, Memphis for a night, Little Rock for a night, and Dallas for 2 or 3 nights. Looking for suggestions to give them for Little Rock and Dallas. Thanks in advance.

Is there a reason they are staying longer in Dallas? I would stay in Ft. Worth as it has more for tourists.

Little Rock
I would do Fayetteville/Bentonville over Little Rock.

That does not seem like an A-list of cities for Europeans to visit. I would send them to New Orleans. Seriously. Or at least to Charleston.
In Dallas I would send them to the Kennedy Assassination Museum on Dealy Plaza.
Little Rock has a nice area with bars and restaurants right down the street from the Clinton Library.

In Little Rock stay at the Marriott or Capital Hilton downtown or at the Burgundy Hotel in West Little Rock. If staying downtown walk to Cache for dinner. If staying at the Burgundy Hotel there are several good restaurants in that area.

quote:nashville & memphis have plenty to do & see and are perfect for 2-3 days. little rock sucks...better off fayetteville as noted. in TX i would suggest austin/hill country instead

this assumes they need to end up in TX for some reason. otherwise, charleston/asheville/savannah/atlanta all better options than AR or TX if staring in nashvegas

for real. They're going to go back home and tell all their friends about how utterly shite "America" is.

What can I say, I didn't recommend anything they just gave me the plan after it was booked. Memphis reason is they wanted to see Graceland so at least they have a reason. I can't explain the desire for Dallas and Little Rock is solely to break up the drive between Memphis and Dallas.
