My wife and I are looking to go to an all-inclusive adults only resort in Punta Cana. Does anyone have any recommendations? Good or bad experiences?

Hard Rock offers a plan and it's awesome.

We enjoyed the excellence.

Wouldn't recommend now larimer as I have been here four days now and three of them have been filled with explosive shits.

Otherwise I am unimpressed. Food sucks, people hassle you on the beach and all inclusive means we will hide other charges and try to sell you everything.

I have been to 6 different resorts in Punta Cana since 2005. If you are looking to relax and just chill, you can not beat The Grand Bavaro or Excellence. If I had to pick one, The Grand Bavaro is my choice. Been there 5 times..

That is interesting that happened to you. One of the benefits for us going to Punta Cana is the lack of local selling on the beach. In all the trips we have taken there, I have never had one single person try and sell us something on the beach.

Sitting in Houston airport now on my way to Majestic Mirage. First time to Punta Cana. This resort just opened and looks very nice. I'll let you know how we like it.

One of the main difference between these two resorts is their location on the Punta Cana beach. Excellence is on the far west end of Punta Cana where the surf is pretty strong. I usually go in August so the waves are big. If you like to swim and relax in the ocean, its going to be a challenge

The Grand Bavaro is farther east and the water is nice and calm...

went to the Hard Rock last year and enjoyed it. The food isn't world class but it's solid. Service was great and there was always something to do. The beach and water were great. There were a few guys walking by from time to time trying to sell cigars but it wasn't too bad.

Just returned from honeymoon at Grand Bavaro. It was outstanding. Food was really good, drinks were top shelf. No kids. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

One of my all time favorite All-Inclusive..... Did you meet Rosie at the pool bar?

What about El Carmen? We have narrowed it down to either the Grand Bavaro in Punta Cana or Excellence El Carmen.

yes. We were three about 5 years ago and a tropical storm was blowing through on our 5th day of a 12 day trip. We spent the day in the room and went to the spa.

You are absolutely correct and it is a thing there (Caribbean) . I have been to the spa with my wife on three different places. All of them are very friendly.

At Secrets Maroma beach last year, I think she readjusted me a little to get a better angle.

We went last year and stayed at The Sanctuary Cap Cana. Best resort I've been to so far.

I'm booked at El Carmen in October so while I don't have a review I'm interested in comments as well. I've heard/read they had some growing pains when they first opened but things seem to be better now.
