1) Are canopies allowed, and if so what is size limit? I saw that OBPD FB page says 12x12 as of summer 2020, couldn’t find more current info. GS visitors info website says 7x7x4. Can anyone confirm or clarify?

2) There is apparently a no alcohol permitted rule on the public beaches now. How strictly is this enforced? Say pouring a mixed drink or a rose wine out of a thermos? Just a small family group, not anything that would attract attention.

Thanks.

I was in Orange Beach last week. There were no shortages of full size canopy tents. They were just placed further back from the shoreline & taken down daily to abide by the "leave only footprints" campaign.

Also didn't see any enforcement of any alcohol rules. Wasn't aware of the rule you mentioned though.

I don't think they care about the tents and such and as long as you aren't walking around acting like an arse with beer cans, they won't bother you about drinking.

The public beach crowd sucks though, so just be aware.

This pin location is the parking lot for the best public access beach down that way.

It’s on Mobile St. There will be no one there that cares what you do.
