Places you never thought to visit until this board?

For me, it would have to be Lithuania or Vietnam, neither one was particularly high on my list of places to see and neither are at the top but they've joined the list.
I obviously have a few other countries I want to see before I visit them unless I find a fantastic deal, but now I'm actually searching these countries seeing what deals I can find.

i had never heard of Isla Mujures much less considered it to visit before this boaters. Now,thanks to several posters, in be vacationing there in July!

Iceland.... I recently booked my trip for my yearly solo birthday vacation. Never really gave it much thought but have yet to hear anyone say a negative thing about it and I am frickin excited for the trip

That was a joke. More applicable to the OT though, every week there is a thread about Disney, Destin, and Denver it seems.
This board is awesome. I have learned about quite a few destinations I may never have considered otherwise.
The two that immediately come to mind, probably in part due to the incredible photos, are Ruxpin's African Safari thread and Antique's Route 66/NM thread.
