One night Stay for 10th anniversary

Looking for suggestions on a place to look into staying for our anniversary Thursday Night in Louisiana. We are between Hammond and Baton Rouge but would travel for a few hours away. We had plans but cancelled because of the beach being closed. Anyone stay at a nice bed and breakfast or hotel with jacuzzi tubs or something?
Edit: original plan had jacuzzi in room , so looking for that and a good romance setting.

May I ask why it has to be on a Thursday and only for one night? If you don't have budget constraints there are several places in Nola that you could enjoy.
Look up one of the Bed and Breakfast places in old downtown Covington. Maybe one on the old Mandeville lakefront as well for another option.

Am I the only person who doesn't find B&Bs the least bit romantic? Often cursed w/old, weird plumbing, full of retirees/busybodies who want to chat at breakfast, innkeepers who feel honor-bound to pester you with info on local attractions & the history of their house & why they decided to become innkeepers....bah. I don't want to get dressed and go to a dining room to eat a breakfast I didn't choose myself.
Big hotels may be more impersonal, but they're also private, with modern bathrooms.
Anyway, in your circumstances, I'd probably pick a room on a high floor at the Windsor Court with a view of the river, in NOLA.

Out of five times I've stayed at one, I've only had one where it was a little bad like you described.
Yes, they can be very romantic depending on where you are staying and the condition of the house. The grounds can be very nice at some places and it's nice to get "away" from the city at times.
But yes, the Windsor Court would be awesome too, especially if it's a club level room.

That's our anniversary night, unfortunately I need to be back Friday evening. We were going to be gone for the whole week because my son's birthday is today, but the beach thing put a stop to the original plan. Instead we have been doing birthday stuff for him locally and will just leave for us Thursday morning to Friday . Also, it's the day I have a baby sitter now.

Scope these out in Covington:
Blue Willow BnB
It has private entrances
Southern Hotel
It is pretty nice imho
Del Porto
Italian cuisine
Ox lot 9
Pretty swank and attached to the Southern Hotel
Gallaghers
My favorite spot in Covington
Hoodoo Ice Cream
It is pretty damn good stuff!
All of them are in walking distance of each other except Gallaghers. That being said, their shrimp and grits as an appetizer followed by one of their filets is easily worth the 5 minute drive.
Happy Anniversary and enjoy wherever you stay

Stay in old Covington and eat out for dinner there....
Skip the Jacuzzi, make your own waves manually.
Pics of her would be helpful to ascertain exactly what property would be best suited for the night.

The Grand Hotel in Fairhope would be nice.

Thank you everyone. After advice from one of my wife's friends, I booked the Devereaux Shields House in Natchez, MS. I got the romance package which has a horse and carriage ride, champagne, chocolate, roses, and dinner at a plantation. I hope it's as good as everything sounds.

I se you’ve already made good plans. But I wanted to tell you that it took me a second to realize that your title wasn’t “one night stand for 10th anniversary.” I guess that would be one way to celebrate.
