North Georgia Spring Break - Golf, Quiet, Hiking, Fishing

Where's your best place in the N GA mountains - I'd like to stay away from huge crowds, but still have good local restaurants and maybe local shopping for the ladies.
We've been to blue ridge a couple times but pretty much nowhere else up there. Has to have golf within a reasonable driving distance and a brewery is always a hit with this crowd.

Check out Brasstown Resort near Hiawasee. Checks all your boxes.
Golf course on-site. Also has a pretty good spa. The whole complex is nice and quiet.
Hiawasee is a 10-minute drive away. You can rent a boat and get on Lake Chatuge. There's your fishing.
There are breweries in Hayesville (NC), Hiawasee, Blairsville. All about a 20-min drive away. Murphy, NC is about 30 mins away and also has breweries.
Crane Creek Vineyard is about 10 mins from Brasstown Resort and definitely worth checking out. It's got a nice Tuscany vibe going. I've heard the on-site restaurant, Paris & Company, is supposed to be pretty good too, but I haven't tried it yet.
As far as restaurants go, the bar & grill at Brasstown Resort is pretty solid for pub-type food. I'm not sure I could recommend the nicer on-site restaurant. It may be decent, but I've never been for dinner; just their Sunday brunch.
My wife and I just tried Osteria da Ferraro in Hiawasee. It's a newer Italian place. They absolutely know what they're doing. The owner/head chef is from Italy, and you can tell. The 4.9 stars they have on Google is 100% legit. I'm tough to impress when it comes to Italian food/service and they nailed it.
There's another fantastic restaurant called The Crown outside Brasstown, NC. We go every time we're in the area. On Thursday nights, they have jam sessions that draw local musicians. After dinner, you can chill around the fire with a beer and listen to them play.
I'm not a chick, but there's apparently enough decent shopping in the area. Hiawasee isn't very "shoppable" but downtown Murphy, Hayesville, and Blairsville are. It's not exactly Fifth Avenue, but should be enough to keep the ladies happy. If they're willing to drive a bit farther, there's also Clayton and Franklin (NC).
From my laymen's perspective, I'd probably rank their shopping potential thusly:
1. Clayton (got a bit more of a bougie vibe due to Lake Burton being nearby)
2. Murphy
3. Franklin
4. Blairsville
5. Hayesville
ETA: forgot about hiking. Yes, plenty around there. Let me know what kind of hiking you want and I can provide more tailored recommendations.

I'll second Brasstown Valley Resort for your purposes. Wife from the NC side of Lake Chatuge. Quick ride from BVR to Hayesville. Great square that is up and coming. The Copper Door is one of my favorite nice restaurants. Get reservations. Nocturnal brewing is downtown with great food and beer. Hayesville Brewing is a little farther down but great dive bar vibe. Can rent boats at Marina heading towards Hiawassee. There is also a cool meat market/deli in Blairsville - Bitter Creek. Find Bell Mountain Park in Hiawassee. One of the best views around. Also can to up to Brasstown Bald for views. The wives would have fun going to the town of Brasstown. Lots of artsy places. And the John C. Campbell Folk School is really impressive. Can take classes there is you have time. For free activity, go walk the Lake Chatuge dam (on the NC side). There is a park there with really nice views. Have fun.

Just got back from. Dahlonega. Plenty to do in area. Wineries and small town hopping. Waterfall’s and golf. Color should be popping

Nice! My in-laws have a cabin outside of Hayesville. My wife and I have been going there for years.

Blairsville has a great farm to table breakfast spot called Sawmill Place. Be prepared to wait. It’s great

Copper Door is legit. Chef is a NOLA transplant. So if coming up from LA it may not be what you want. He used to also have a poboy stand Carlotta’s on Hwy 64 that closed. Served roast beef poboys with the left over prime rib from Copper Door. I cried when it closed. I haven’t been but I’ve heard the Crown in Brasstown is also great as mentioned by other poster. One of wife’s cousins used to farm and they locally sourced from him.
