Planning a trip for February and the wife has been dragging on applying for their passports. Any idea on current wait times for new passports?

Same day passports are possible. Be prepared to pay.

I applied for passports for my kids in August, got them in about 3 weeks with expedited processing. Not sure what that looks like now.

If you’re in Louisiana, contact Sen. Kennedy’s office and they can help you expedite it. Do this before mailing paperwork.

I just renewed mine. I got it back Friday. It took 6 weeks. Regular processing.

With online renewals, the times to renew are much lower than people are discussing. Pay for expedited (just as insurance) and expect 3-4 weeks.
