Any immediate recommendations for food and drink?

Some of our favorites in that area include Don Giovanni, Mustards Grill and Bistro Jeanty.

Don Giavonni was so good we went twice. The menu changes a good bit.
ETA: This is the correct spelling if you want to look it up. Not playing spelling police.

For wine my favorite is the Rombauer Winery in St.Helena off of the Silverado Trail Rd. Just west of there on hwy 24 I think it is we like the Brasswood Winery Restaurant. Try the fresh made mozzarella cheese as an app. Best app i've ever eaten anywhere.

We like small vineyards.
Smith-Madrone whites stood out and the vineyard is on top of a mountain with incredible views. David Fulton reds were great and the vineyard might not be around much longer as I think it’s for sale. The Petit Syrah is wonderful.

Where are you guys staying?
If looking for winery/tasting advice, how much is your group into wine on a scale of 1-10?
Don't drive. Get a driver for tastings and use Uber for dinner.

Gotts Roadside in St Helena is a cool place for a burger. They do a great Ahi Tuna burger too.
Drive down to Yountville and do Addendum for Lunch on a Thurs, Fri or Saturday (Thomas Keller's outside area behind Ad Hoc).
You really can't go wrong around that area. And I'm jealous......we just went last summer (did a combo Tahoe/Napa trip) and I could have stayed in California for two weeks. Maybe I need to start planning another trip......
Edit: Checked the site, Addendum isn't open during the winter. Maybe do Ad Hoc for dinner one night.

Gott's Roadside Burger is a must for lunch one day.

We're staying in Calistoga.
It's just 2 of us, and we're probably a 5 on that scale. We know enough to be dangerous, but aren't totally into wine. Although we've been drinking it more and more.
Hit Gott's yesterday for lunch. And The Castle just because everyone said to go on your first time. Today we're keeping it pretty flexible with a few scheduled.
Thanks for all of the suggestions. Slow time of year to go, but we had a long weekend and thought why not.

Truffle Ravioli dish at Bottega in Yountville changed my life
Have fun.

Just avoid the big production vineyards. Take a tour or two and explore. Have a great time.

Hit Von Sasser/Lava Vine, Tedeschi, Summers, T-Vine today.
Great today for tastings.

Good choices. We're members at T-Vine. Hit Young Inglewood and Corison in St. Helena. Start a day at Failla with the spotlight tour so that you are hitting heavy cabs at 10 AM. We are club members at all of those.
ETA: Larkmead is a special place. They'll likely waive your tasting fees with a bottle purchase.

Also, eat at Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen and Goose and Gander if you get a chance.

Tedeschi was my favorite today, but these were right behind.

Will add them to the list.

Sorry, meant to say Failla so that you are NOT starting the day off with heavy cabs. They have really good Sonoma Pinots and chards.
ETA:
Spottswoode is one of our absolute favorites. May be too late to get in - they only take 50 visitors a week I think. Very much worth a shot.
I'm also a big fan of Keenan on Spring Mountain in St. Helena. Really like their cab franc. They may pour 10 or 12 wines at a tasting, very relaxed and unstructured visit.

Magical hangover healing powers.
They will give you one of their pint glasses (with meal and drink purchase) if you ask.

Call and see if you can get in to Caldwell to do a tasting with John.
DEF need a driver for that one.

We needed magical hangover clearing powers today, ha. But we did hit Goose and Gander today, that was fantastic.
Hit up Dutch Henr, Tank Garage St. Supery today with a few small one in between. We are spent.
But, clearly, we can see why people do this yearly. The wine is so good, we're certainly coming back next year. Will probably dig into all of the recs then.
