Munich - Prague - Vienna

Headed to Munich - Prague - Vienna in early May.
It will be my first time in Europe and I was wondering if this Board had recommendations on the best way to travel between these cities. They’re each about 5-6 hours apart, so would it be worth it to mess with airports or stick to trains?
From Google searches, it appears that flights would be somewhat cheaper, but not by a significant amount.
TIA

10000% stick to trains. I haven't done Prague, but I did a Munich-Salzburg-Vienna trip by train and the high-speed rail is the way to go.
Also, the stations are typically located in the middle of town as opposed to the airports which can be way out.

Trains or rent a car which I prefer.
For example, do Munich to Nuremberg (great day trip) and then stop off in Pilsen and get a Pilsner at the home of beer

Definitely train. I've traveled to both Prague and Vienna from Munich, and the train is about 4 hours of easy comfort, city center to city center.

Trains are usually the best option in Europe. No mess, no fuss and they arrive right on time in the middle of the city center.
If time is precious commodity on the trip you can look into booking a sleeping couchette on an overnight train. I've done that before to avoid wasting a relocation day and the price was about the same as a hotel. But I can sleep like a log anywhere. Sleeping on trains is not for everyone.

When I'm over in Europe, I travel by train only simply because we get so few chances to do that reliably over here.
Trips on the high speed rail going from itinerary stop to stop are really enjoyable. Hard to beat a 9am beer on the train when many others are commuting for business
As mentioned, you're usually going from city center to city center and right in the mix once you arrive...Provided you don't have too many train changes to your ultimate destination, I think trains offer the easiest, most relaxing form of travel.
(Don't miss the Augustiner Bräustuben right across from the train station in Munich either before or after you leave/arrive...or any Augustiner spot for that matter)

Take a 5 or 6 hour layover in Salzburg between Munich and Vienna. Go to the famous Augustiner beer garden.

I didn’t know if this was an option but this is my favorite biergarten anywhere in the world

Munich has 2 massive beer gardens to check out. Walk around Olympic park. Letna park in Prague is a spot to check also, good views of the river & bridges. Visit Prague castle. Cheap beer!

Ive done each of these cities twice. Admittedly the last time was 2014, but at that point a bus between Prague and Munich was best, train between Munich and Vienna. Bus was very clean, safe, just like train. Cannot remember if it was cost or schedule but I chose the bus and it was great.
