Staying in Midland but will have nights open and also a weekend. Anything else going on in Odessa besides high school football?
Any restaurants or attractions that are life-changing?

Oilfield museum, the bar, there is a WW II flight museum by the airport. I haven’t been in a long time but garlic press venizia, Wall Street are good restaurants. KD’s for bbq. Jumburrito carne guisada tacos for breakfast. Michaels grill, luigis Italian, Murray’s sandwiches. Any other q’s and I can try to help.

Also if you have the weekend Carlsbad caverns and Roswell NM are interesting side trips.

I've spent way too much time in Midland for work over the past few years.
Wall Street Grill is pretty good. Michael's Grill is also good, with some cool airplane replicas hanging from the ceiling. A few other decent restaurants, but nothing spectacular that I've tried.
There's a presidential museum in Odessa for some odd reason. It was worth an hour of my time once.
I've heard the commemorative Air Force museum is worth a trip, but I haven't been yet.
George W. Bush's childhood home is in Midland if you're into that sort of thing.
Rockhounds have a nice little minor league ballpark, but obviously not in season now.

The % of people wearing masks in public is about 25%.
The % of people “social distancing” in public is about 1%.
Crazy.

That's a higher percentage than I would have expected in Midland.

If a UFC is on then go to Twin Peaks in Odessa. Your guaranteed to see at least a couple fights in the restaurants. Typically always a women who gets punched also. Sometimes even some shots fired in the parking lot.
