I thought that place was in Albuquerque? I remember reading an article about it in an airplane travel magazine. Even though I gathered that the patrons would most likely get really stoned and go, it still seemed really fun and an interesting concept. Not your traditional museum.

I went back in July 2022. Was in Denver for a work conference. Totally had no idea what I was getting into, was just part of my work group.

It's really cool inside... but the place was a zoo, it was so crowded. It's very visually stimulating, weird games/exhibits.

Would I pay to go back? No. But this was not my thing. Also - FYI but they make you go through metal detectors. Not really for weapons, but vape pens. It's a great place to go if you're high or tripping on shrooms. I forgot I had my wax pen in my pocket. After I went through the detector, they asked me to go check my pen at the front desk.

The original is in Santa Fe. They’ve since created one in Denver and one in Las Vegas. I went to the one in Santa Fe a few times in the first few years it was around, but it’s way too hectic now for me. Never been to the other two. The Santa Fe one is awesome with a cool story to explore and tons of awesome visuals. Also lots of hideaway spots to just sit and vibe. But once it’s crowded, it’s not nearly as charming. I will say that the story is VERY similar to Stranger Things but it was around way before stranger things. George RR Martin (who lives in Santa Fe) was a major donor/contributor to the original artist collective that started MW.

It kind of reminds me of the City Museum on St. Louis as far as the “open” play aspect… but it’s much more psychedelic.

Meow Wolf is awesome. Was a definite favorite. Pass on the Denver Museum of Modern Art.

Went to the one in Las Vegas on my bachelor party and we all very much enjoyed it. Virtual reality killing zombies, axe throwing, several different bars to drink and relax. Spent 3-4 hours there before Top Golf and dinner.

I took a gram of mushies and went on Thursday. It wasn't overly crowded with it being a weekday. It is an amazing experience and one of the best options for entertainment around Denver. I would consider it a must do. Probably could have taken closer to 2 grams of the mushies and likely will next visit knowing the lay of the land a bit better
