LSU vs. USCe in September

I'm thinking of going to this game next season. Are there any recommendations on where to stay and what to do? I'm guessing it'll be slightly cooler than BR in mid September (so still hot as balls), so maybe we should attempt a beach? Maybe hiking?
Also, as a side note, I'm surprised there isn't a football/baseball away game travel thread already.

If you use 2023 as your test sample, correct but in general it's usually significantly hotter in Vegas Labor Day weekend. It's almost a guarantee to hit 100 degrees every day. Not a bad bet that it might approach 110. It's going to be f'ing miserable.

Sorry, South Carolina, not Southern Cal.

Last time I went was 2003. Don't remember where we stayed but I remember it being one of the friendlier places that I have been to an SEC away game. Great fans!

As I said in the other thread on this subject, South Carolina is one of my favorite road trips in the SEC because we like to vacation in Charleston. We stay at the Vendue in Charleston and commute to the game. It is like staying in New Orleans for an LSU home game or in Houston for an A&M game.
