you will have a blast. the snorkeling is spectacular if you find a local cabbie that can take you to a local spot away from the resorts. sorry i dont have recs, i went 20 years ago. the google machine is your friend in 2018:

LINK

amuse looks like the coolest place i can see from google reviews

just my two cents tifwiw: going here for your 1 yr anniversary sets the bar high for yourself for future anniversaries. buyer be ware

Also check out Curacao. Not quite as developed as Aruba but more charming IMO. Good resorts, better shopping.

Aruba is sooooo good! We stayed at Barcelo and loved it. Eat at Madame Janette’s and Papiamento

I loved Aruba and preferred it over Punta Cana and Nassau.

Much better than Jamaica and Puerto Rico too.

Anyone been to the natural pools?

Did you go by tour or on own accord? Thinking we try and go with our jeep on our next trip. Wondering how hard it is to get to

We took a UTV tour there which was awesome and highly recommended. The terrains were pretty rough but there were tourists in individual jeeps there too.

I went to the natural pool. It was pretty awesome. There's some violent waves coming in at times. Idk how more people don't get hurt. I would be nervous driving a jeep up that trail but it was fun on an ATV.

What about the trail would make you nervous? Just trying to get an idea

I have been to Aruba about 10 times going back to the early 90s.

Pros-
Not going to lose a day to rain. It is a desert island and outside the hurricane belt.
It is one of the safest islands in the Caribbean.

The windy side of the island is cool. You can rent a jeep. We used to drive around the island in tiny little Nissan Sunnys.

Restaurant wise, it has a bunch of decent places. When I am going back, I think about the beach not the restaurants.

Best thing to do in Aruba is just chill on the beach.

Aruba is a great trip. Marriott Stellaris is a great property with a perfect beach area.

Definitely take the Jeep trip to Natural Pool. Jeeps are fun and while road is rough, it's fun and plenty of people do it.

A few short boat trips are great for snorkeling.

And take the Party Bus, good time.

It's narrow, rocky, steep at times, and has blind turns.
