Family friendly and centrally located to most of the touristy things to do.

Mid March time frame

Thanks in advance

Doesn't scream "family friendly" so I'd say no.

Stayed at the Windsor Court in December and it was awesome. Definitely family friendly and great location. Expensive though.

I've always enjoyed my stay at The Hilton Riverside. You can cab/UBER to the FQ and uptown quickly. Also, the lobby area is well lit and there is no reason for anyone to be there unless they are going to the hotel.

Purely based on this criteria, I'll throw out the Hilton Homewood Suites on Poydras. I wouldn't recommend it for a couples trip but it fits both your stated criteria here quite well.

marriot residence inn isnt W or le pavilion, but allows you to have fridge/small kitchen and multiple rooms in same unit.

bring your own snacks and food for the kids so you dont have to buy out as much. feed them oven baked chicken fingers and you and wife have nice dinner.

Le Pavillion. Great rooftop pool and meke your own PBJ sandwiches before bed time in the lobby,a Le Pav tradition.
