re: Looking for all-inclusive resort recommendations in Mexico/The Caribbean

We're (5 in our party) headed to Cancun during Christmas week. Staying at the InterContinental Presidente Resort in hotel row. It's not inclusive, but does provide breakfast for each person. I made the reservation on www.trip.com for 2 rooms with 2 queen beds per room.

I have until Dec. 19 to cancel the reservation. What are other's opinions of the resort that have stayed there? I'm also looking at other places in the general area covering a 2 mile radius.

Luckily, I was able to use my Delta Skymiles to get 3 of the seats at the cost of just paying taxes and used the companion voucher for myself and a family member.

Other resorts I was looking at were Hyatt Ziva, The Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort Villas & Spa, Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe All-Inclusive Resort and Grand Park Royal Cancún.

I felt like I waited too long to make the reservation, but glad I was able to get a great deal for the 5 night trip..
