Heads up for all of you trying to travel over to London during the summer months that the UK government raised the terrorism alert to Severe. The US state department website hasn't been updated in a year, but not sure if they will given recent events over there. Anyone have any travel planned to London this summer?

Event: UK Government Raises National Terrorism Threat Level to “SEVERE”
On Thursday, April 30, the government of the United Kingdom raised its national terrorism threat level to “SEVERE,” meaning a terrorist attack is highly likely. The National Threat Level increased to SEVERE following the Golders Green terrorist attack on April 29, 2026. The recent increase in terrorist threats is driven by a rise in Islamist and extreme right-wing terrorist threats in the UK.
More information about UK threat levels is available at the MI5 website .

That's the best MI5 can come up with? Stuff I always do in Europe and the UK anyway?

I was there for a week just a month ago. Didn’t see anything bad happening. I had a great time.
