"Log Cabin" type rental in the south?

Looking to do a getaway between Christmas and New year this year. Really want to go somewhere that has the outdoors/make fire type feel. Also have a wedding to do in Gulf Shores on Dec 31 which is why I don't want to fly anywhere.
Is there anywhere within an 6-8 hour drive from New Orleans that is something like this? Similar to a Blue Ridge, GA or Gatlinburg

Broken Bow Ok is a nice option. As is Mountain Home/Flippin Arkansas.

It’s a pretty decent hump to Gulf Shores though.
Maybe Mentone, AL. DeSoto State Park has rental cabins and a primitive cabin. That’ll put you about 6 hours to Gulf Shores.

Mount Magazine State Park in Arkansas, Northwest of Hot Springs. There are 13 cabins that you can rent. The cabins vary in size, but all have fireplaces, decks facing a beautiful view, and hot tubs on the deck. Also have some hiking trails that are kid friendly.

It is a bit further than your 6-8 hour drive, but I got a cabin for the LSU/Tennessee game last year at this place.

i randomly just search VRBO for houses and cabins from time to time and have this one saved in Mentone, AL

i love Blue Ridge as well... I think your best bet is to get on VRBO and search the state of Alabama

Anywhere with some acreage and a fire pit can give you that feeling in the winter time, the cool weather makes it easy.
Now asking for mountains makes it a lot tougher.
