Now through March 15th or so. I'm seeing $488 to $650 round trip out of MSY and a bunch of other airports. London, Paris, Rome, etc.

I can't look for any more. Just seeing it on google flights looking at something else.

Good luck!

I got an e-mail about a big euro sale for late fall too. Have not checked availability out of MSY though.

Ugh. I can’t look. I bought my MG tickets to London weeks ago and paid way more than that.

I'm out of VPS the Destin airport, so that's where I saw this. I simply checked MSY too as its more applicable for this board. So I'm assuming its for most of the southeast.

Just checked and Amsterdam and Barcelona are there too. So Rome, Amsterdam, Paris, London, Barcelona. Oddly enough not Dublin.

Feb-Mar in Europe sucks. It's really cold. It's worth $500 more for some warmth.

I disagree....wear the right clothes and it's fine. A merino sweater, decent base layer, tri-climate waterproof coat, decent Goretex or other waterproof walking shoes.

Forecast highs for my upcoming London trip dates: 52-57
Lows around 42.
Pretty much same weather as it is today.
I will take smaller crowds, cooler weather for walking, and cheaper airfares over hot cities, crowds, and lines every time. I've done Dublin, Paris, Edinburgh, southern Italy/Amalfi/Naples/Paestum, Sicily, Munich, Salzburg, etc in shoulder season/winter....no complaints from me on any of those.

Again, proper clothes make all the difference in the world.

I agree, did Belgium and Netherlands in March. It was chilly but not freezing and layering up was fine.

Def disagree. Less people and the lodging is extremely cheap

Usually way fewer people and you can get some great deals. Weather can be hit or miss often, depending on location, but worth it.

I would prefer to risk some cold weather which you can layer up to deal with than possibly run into a massive heat wave. Heat on top of massive crowds is not what I look for. Living in the south means I don't have to escape months of really cold weather either.

Sales are gone btw, lol.

But to get on the derail, yeah when I was in my 20s the summer was best because you wanted to stay out late which meant eating dinner later and then a night cap.

Now, I wake up early and shower and get out the door. I love to grab breakfast in a cafe or on the go. You can sight see until it gets dark at 4:30 or 5. Then grab dinner at 6 or 7. By the time you are done with dinner, I'm fine heading back to hit the hay.

So while more light is better its not necessary for me at all anymore. The weather, as said living in the south wearing shorts 9 months of the year I love traveling in the shoulder seasons and wearing jeans and a light jacket or sweater for the day.

Most importantly though, I hate tourism season now. Even with limited hours and what not I just enjoy being with locals in the off season when there is no hustle and bustle. When they have the time to BS with you and they aren't in a hurry. I just enjoy traveling and seeing the local life, without absurd tourism.

MSY to where? You need to decide on a destination first.

Yeah, and you need to set a flight tracker. I would bet you’ll find a sale in March or early April around 50-60 days prior. There always seems to be a May to early June flight sale.

I don't think you'll have any luck with this time frame. Hopefully someone proves me wrong.

That's a $1200 fare, RT to either Paris or London. Not likely to find a fare sale on those dates due to Memorial Day weekend. For $200-300 more, you could fly into London and out of Paris, saving yourself the return transit back to your initial city. Of course, you'd also have to spend $ traveling between the two (train or cheap flight; I prefer the low-hassle train to cheap flights).

If you just want a Euro vacation, any Euro vacation, RT fares to Dublin are often the cheapest. Knock $300-$400 off of a London fare for Dublin. Ireland is beautiful & full of friendly people.

You can sometimes find good deals over Memorial Day but usually mileage based and a few months ago.
