Key West - Car?

What are the transportation options like in Key West? If I fly in, do I need to rent a car? Should I rent a UTV? Should we just Uber?

There's nowhere to park. Take Ubers and rent bikes or scooters. Renting a golf cart ostensibly puts you in the same situation as renting a car, just a much slower one you can't lock, so I wouldn't recommend that either.

You don’t need a car, just use Uber. If you’re staying in Old Town you can walk everywhere and won’t even need Uber.

bicycle is really a great option, because it has the most "parking" followed by a scooter.

There is also a bus that runs everywhere.

Bikes really are the best option for ease of parking and accessibility around Key West. My wife and I stayed in Casa Marina and were never more than a 10-15 bike ride away from anything we visited. From bar hopping, drinks with breakfast or dinner, or sight seeing, they were a lot of fun for my wife and I getting around.
If you'd like to get to another key, look at renting a car for the day.
