I was looking at flights to NYC. I see JetBlue has direct flights as does Southwest.

I have never flown JetBlue, is this a better airline then Southwest?

Jetblue is a great airline, free wifi, free tv, most legroom of US airlines. No free checked bag though.

T5 at JFK is a very nice terminal

JetBlue is a better experience, but the price is usually better on Southwest. We just flew Southwest to LaGuardia on the new nonstop they started earlier in November.

I used to fly JetBlue and occasionally Delta when they were the only nonstops from MSY. Now that Southwest has entered the nonstop picture I am Southwest all the way. JetBlue has better amenities but nothing beats being able to change my mind up until 10 minutes before the flight and getting full credit for a future flight within a year from the date of purchase. Also if the fare goes down you can change that too and get the difference in credit that works the same way. Plus the free checked bags.

Flew Jetblue to Boston back in May and I thought they were very solid. Still charge for checked bags but you can gate check for free. Pretty comfortable fleet and good staff.

Just echoing everyone else. Flew JetBlue Atlanta > Barbados > Boston > Atlanta and it was as good as it gets amenities/experience wise (first class excluded).

JetBlue is my favorite airline, I wished they had more routes out of MSY.
