Anyone have experiences with Jamaican all inclusive resorts that are kid friendly? I see several but first hand accounts are always helpful. Looking for a place that has activities to keep a second grader entertained from time to time. TIA

I’d suggest avoiding Jamaica and go to the DR or Mexico.

saw there's a (new or renewed) travel advisory for Jamaica due to criminal activity spiking - now if you're staying the property 100% of the time it may not matter

For those recommending DR, just saw where Haiti next door is getting worse than the shithole it already is ...can't help but think some of that may spill over to the DR side of the island but I don't know

We went to Jamaica once for a trip. We were constantly hounded everywhere by the locals trying to sell us cheap trinkets. They didn't understand "No thank you". We'll never go to Jamaica again.

I just got back from a 3 week trip to Jamaica. I rented a car and stayed in 4 different places. I've been 15 times and have never stayed at an AI or any kind of resort. I go with a group of people most of who've gone 40+ times. The travel advisory I get for the part where medical care might be subpar but the do not travel list is all places where tourists will never be. Just like you wouldn't be standing around in Central City or the Lower 9th at 3am you won't be at an after hours party in Trench Town or looking to score drugs in the MoBay slums.

Not to crap on your thread or plans but we went to negril back in 2017 and loved it. I wouldn’t go back though. It’s gotten into level 3 travel advisory with crime spilling into the resorts as well. Extremely dangerous outside of the resorts too . They have beautiful beaches and some fun activities and chances are you’d be fine but if I’m bringing the fam I’d prob look elsewhere.
