Google the TSA website:

quote:

Forgot Your ID?

In the event you arrive at the airport without valid identification, because it is lost or at home, you may still be allowed to fly. The TSA officer may ask you to complete an identity verification process which includes collecting information such as your name, current address, and other personal information to confirm your identity. If your identity is confirmed, you will be allowed to enter the screening checkpoint. You will be subject to additional screening, to include a patdown and screening of carry-on property.

You will not be allowed to enter the security checkpoint if your identity cannot be confirmed, you chose to not provide proper identification or you decline to cooperate with the identity verification process.

TSA recommends that you arrive at least two hours in advance of your flight time.

ID is not required to fly domestically. As long as the airline has issued you a valid boarding pass, TSA cannot deny you access to your flight as long as you adhere to their screening procedures.

Just give yourself some extra time as you’ll get the full pat down along with the hand check of your carryon.

I have a passport but didn’t bring it for this flight

TSA was very nice and the previous poster was correct about the full patdown

I was lucky because my Sams card has a picture of me and he used that with my credit card

If you are from Louisiana, download the “LA Wallet” app.

Tell them it's ok, that you are in the Country illegally.

Is TSA accepting that as the DL? Or will I still need to provide the physical card.

I'm asking if I have the option. I understand there are other options out there if I want the full security check.

Good question. I assumed you could, but according to website, TSA acceptance is still pending. Not sure how updated that is, though.
