Future Travel Rebooking Options:

When rebooked travel occurs on or before September 7, 2021 in the same cabin of service as originally booked, the fare difference will be waived.
A fare difference may apply when the waiver is class to class restrictive and the original booking class is not maintained in the rebooked itinerary.
When rebooked travel occurs after September 7, 2021, a difference in fare may apply.
If travel is not able to be rescheduled within these guidelines, customers may cancel their reservation and apply any unused value of the ticket toward the purchase of a new ticket for a period of one year from the original ticket issuance. Applicable fare difference may apply for new travel dates. Final travel must be completed by end of ticket validity.

Given the ongoing infrastructure challenges in Southeast Louisiana due to Hurricane Ida, our service to/from New Orleans (MSY) will be limited, and Customer's flight plans may be disrupted (flights may be delayed and/or cancelled) in the coming days and weeks.

To give our Customers maximum flexibility, Customers holding reservations to/from New Orleans through October 2 may rebook without paying a fare difference or travel standby (within 14 days of their original date of travel between the original city-pairs in accordance with our accommodation procedures)

Customers scheduled to travel to/from New Orleans during this time period may also change their departure/origin to one of the following destinations without paying a fare difference:

Customers in the U.S. scheduled to travel internationally must call 1-800-435-9792 to speak with a Customer Representative for assistance with rebooking.

Flight changes:

The change fee and any difference in fare will be waived for new United flights departing between September 1 - October 3, 2021, as long as travel is rescheduled in the originally ticketed cabin (any fare class) and between the same cities as originally ticketed.
For wholly rescheduled travel departing after October 3, 2021, or for a change in departure or destination city, the change fee will be waived, but a difference in fare may apply. Rescheduled travel must be completed within one year from the date when the ticket was issued.
