How to get cheapest flight?

Trying to book MSY-DEN for the 27-31. I know it’s last minute and may have to eat it, but any tips to find a reasonable flight?

Spirit sucks but it will get you there for $320. That's not the worst price considering the last-minute nature of the booking.

The first announcement comes on Tuesday and on Wednesday others follow.
Also, the further out you book, the less you will likely pay.

I usually book 30ish days out without any issues. Just booked round trip DFW-MSY in August for $180 a person. On AA.

Southwest might be your best bet. Like somebody already said, it's about $360ish right now and you wouldn't have to pay to check any bags as first two are free.
