How Many Days for Yosemite & Kings Canyon/Sequoia with Kids?

So I think we've decided on trying to go out to Yosemite and Kings Canyon/Sequoia this summer. We will have kids ages 5 & 9 with us. We did the Mighty 5 in Utah last summer where we managed to get what I think is a good bit of hiking out of young kids. We managed about 6-7 miles a day hiking all easy and a couple of moderate trails.
With that in mind, how many days should we allocate to each of these parks? Any recommended itineraries?

For Yosemite, be prepared - it’s enormous and takes a while to drive anywhere.
The park really has three tiers: the valley, above the valley (glacier point, Taft point), and the high mountains.
Most people probably stop at Tenaya Lake, which is on the way to the mountains.
For Yosemite, I’d spend a minimum of two days in the valley to see the Merced River, views of El Cap and Half Dome from below, and all of the stunning waterfalls. Vernal Falls is a great hike. We added Nevada but that’s A LOT.
The other two days can be split between Sentinel Dome (a must hike), Glacier Point, Taft Point, and Lake Tenaya.

Did you honestly do 6-7 miles a day with a 4 and 8 year old? How often did you do that? I have all girls and I know some kids would be different then mine they aren’t built for stamina. But that seems like a lot still.

Yes, we honestly did. We were getting to each park pretty early each morning, and not really rushing things, allowing plenty of time for breaks.
There was a day or two where one of us would hang back in the vehicle with the youngest while she took a quick nap. Then one of us would keep hiking with the 8 year old. After her nap the 4 year old was ready to keep going.
