Hotels near NRG stadium

Will be in Houston for a concert in a few weeks - need a good place to stay by the stadium. Or should we stay somewhere else and uber to the stadium?

This is what I would do.
I always call an uber to and from the Dimassis Mediterranean Buffett on Kirby because it is closer than the uber lot.

The Courtyard and the Residence Inn are both walkable. Uber was a fricking nightmare when I tried to take it back from the Metallica concert. It was a 45 minute wait in the parking lot at Kirby and Old Spanish Trail. That's a block or so past DiMassi's.

Best answer! There's really not any great bars and restaurants near NRG. There are places in both these areas you could walk to and the atmosphere is much better than near NRG.

Holiday Inn next to NRG would be a good choice.

One time, it took one time of me staying in the medical district, taking the train to and trying to rideshare back after the event at NRG, NEVER AGAIN.
Stay close to NRG and make your game, concert, event evenig easier and use the train into other places of the city in the day(s) preceding the event and during the day. NRG is a logistical landlocked shite-show.
