Hotels near NRG stadium

Will be in Houston for a concert in a few weeks - need a good place to stay by the stadium. Or should we stay somewhere else and uber to the stadium?

This is what I would do.
I always call an uber to and from the Dimassis Mediterranean Buffett on Kirby because it is closer than the uber lot.

The Courtyard and the Residence Inn are both walkable. Uber was a fricking nightmare when I tried to take it back from the Metallica concert. It was a 45 minute wait in the parking lot at Kirby and Old Spanish Trail. That's a block or so past DiMassi's.
