Really easy. We made Nice as our home base due to airport and Marriott hotels options. Side trips from there.
Spent 17 days in France last April and wish we had more time.
Paris for a few days. Then drove to Bayeux visiting WWI and WWII battlefields. Drove back to Paris and flew to Nice for a few days. Back to Paris for a few more days.

Can't get her off Lake Como. The more I'm looking, I'm pretty fired up on it.
Going to fly into Milan, head up to Como 4 nights, back to Milan, fly to Paris, and finish 4 nights there.
Any Como recs would be much appreciated. I'm going to blow it out and book the Grand Hotel Tremazzo in Tremezzina.
Likely going to book a car to give us some flexibility while we're in Como.
let me know if that is a bad idea or better way to move from Milan to Como and around Como.
Thanks fellas, appreciate all the suggestions.

I would say you definitely want a car for Como. Its not easy to move around there. There's transportation including ferries but its fairly slow.
I don't think you are giving yourself enough time IMO. I'd strongly consider not doing Lake Como and Paris.
Its basically an all day affair to go from Lake Como to Paris. Not saying its a lost day, but if you are doing 4 nights in Lake Como to start your trip that's basically 3 days. Travel 5th day to Paris and get in. Have a couple of hours.
4 days in Paris. That's not much...especially for honeymooners. I just spent 15 nights in Paris and there's plenty I didn't get to see or do.
There's so much in northern Italy to do. Fast train somewhere? Go to Verona, or Venice, or Turin.
Give yourself a couple days just to drive around in the Alps and be honeymooners with no plans.

From Turin hit Alba for those succulent white truffles they put on everything and that amazing Piedmonte wine.

I didn’t even look at a car in Como so I may be way off base. But the train from Milan is easy and very scenic. And you can ferry to the other cities.
Definitely either rent a boat or a boat and driver. At least for a day.

I get antsy, 4 nights in one place should be enough for us.
I’ve done Paris for 7 days. She will just want to hit the main sights and make sure her beige pallet is satisfied.
Anyone have recs in Como?

We're staying in Como city. Hotel is arranging a boat trip. We have dinner reservations at L'antica and probably Ciboooh. We picked como because it has more of a nightlife being a small city. The others are villages that close up early.

Any day trip recs that are a must?
I'll look up these two restaurants. Thanks.

The ferry tour of the lake was nice. There's a great park to walk in the primary town (Bellagio). There's always wine tastings and tours nearby.

Thank you, much appreciated. 100% booking one of these. Boat tour and the hotels should at least give her pause before running off haha.
