Looking at Gatlinburg for honeymoon in October
Just started searching online & the amount of cabins, VRBO & Air B&B is somewhat overwhelming
Does anyone have a recommendation of a 1 or 2 bedroom cabin that’s somewhat secluded?

TIA

Look into Townsend or Wears Valley. It's on the other side the mountain from Gatlinburg. More Chalets and Cabins less tourist. Better places to escape to.
I rented a cabin on two acres back there that had a cave on property. It was pretty chill. The best was secluded enough to get good use out of the hot tub.

It’s small but should meet your needs. In Townsend. I looked at it but my wife wanted to stay in Gatlinburg.

We had good luck renting a 2 bedroom cabin from Jackson Mountain Rentals. LINK

I don't think they still list the one we rented years back, but they have several similar. I was concerned that some rental companies showed cabins that were jammed up near others, but the one we rented was a few miles outside Gatlinburg on a loop road through some woods with cabins spread out enough for privacy and full use of the hot tub on the deck.

Their site has a map of where the several cabins are located. I bet if you called and told them what you are looking for they could make a few recommendations.

We just went to Gatlinburg. We stayed in a cabin outside of town. Driving up and down the mountain and into town SUCKS!

I recommend you stay at a hotel IN town for a few days. (Margaritaville is smack in the middle of everything) You can see all the sites in town and enjoy it. Then, rent a cabin outside of town.

Don’t mean to hijack thread but how close are cabins to each other on Wears Valley?

We passed through there on way to Cades Cove and cabins looked spaced out.

Depends on exact ones but that area is more sparse than Gatlinburg. Some cabins you don't see anyone else some are set up like a neighborhood.

Depends a lot on budget. Plenty are very secluded. Some are high up in the mountain some in the valley.

We stay in Wears Valley. Very convenient to Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, but out and secluded. Great location.
