Went the week after thanksgiving. That was my favorite ride for our trip. My son used my father in law’s fast pass to ride it twice in a row.

I rode it Thanksgiving week with fast pass. It was ok. I would not wait in line for it. I am not really in to the Avatar the movie. I am also not really in to the type of ride. I prefer a traditional roller coaster.

The quick service restaurant in Pandora was really good, easily in my top 5 quick service in all of WDW.

Is it like Soarin or something different? I never saw Avatar but I think Animal Kingdom isn't worth our time anyway. If we can get a fast pass to see the new section I'll go but otherwise I'll skip it. Everest is cool but my kids can't ride it. Dinosaur is the worst ride ever invented and the safari is no different than a zoo.

I've heard Avatar fast passes went immediately. We stay offsite so I gotta wait a month for my fast passes.

Couldn’t disagree more with animal kingdom. With two shows, conservation station, Pandora (which might have be best quick service in property), wilderness explorers, and short waits for the meet and greets it’s got tons to do for families.

It is like Soaring, but way more action and 3D. You sit in a position like riding a Japanese Motorcycle.

Animal Kingdom has a petting zoo and a playground in the dinosaur area that my kids love. They also love the Safari.

I like the quick service in Pandora and flaming tree for lunch.

Animal kingdom is ok, but our least favorite as a family

It’s like Soaring about as much as it’s a small world is like Expedition Everest.

Flight of Passage is one of the best ride experiences I’ve ever had. It’s just a lot of fun. You don’t have to know a single thing about Avatar. I’ve never seen 1 second of the movie.

Well of course you don't need to see the movie. I just haven't seen what the ride looks like at all. Animal Kingdom is cool but we finished it so quick we found it not worth the price of admission. I could spend two days in Epcot or Magic Kingdom but both Hollywood and Animal Kingdom were over by lunchtime and we did everything possible. Some twice. So if we can't do Avatar (no ride is worth a 2-3 hour wait) then I'll just skip it this trip. We are already skipping Hollywood Studios until Toy Story land opens. I didn't like the Star Wars ride and since the movie ride closed the only other ride for my kids is Toy Story. We can do that in Magic Kingdom.

I like the food at Animal Kingdom, a little different if you get tired of the rest of Disney standard fare.

The safari is no different than most zoos you can go to. I also agree about the dinosaur ride - it needs an upgrade.

Love riding Everest and can't wait to see Avatar.

I just got back last night from Disney. We didn’t have a pass for Flight but we were a AK when it opened. It was posted for 9 am but we got to the gate about 8:30. 8:45 they let us in but had Pandora roped off. At 9:00 they dropped the rope. We were off the ride by 9:30. Prolly had 200-300 people in front of us. DO NOT MISS THIS RIDE. Its Soarin x100. You can actually feel the thing breathing under you.

A plan for AK with kids and no Fp+ is: get there at 8:30, be at Pandora rope drop, get in line for flight (the inside area is heavily themed making the wait easier), if it isn't too long get in line for navi river, lunch in Pandora, go to petting zoo (train ride to it), watch a bugs life, go to bone yard play ground, hit character meet on way out.

Set late afternoon Fp+ at MK or Epcot and hit them.

If you want to do Flight of Passage at rope drop with no FP+ at rope drop you need to be there an hour before posted opening time (8 am for non EMH and 7 am for EMH day).

Yeah I talked to Kenny the Pirate last week. They did both Avatar rides by 9:30 but lined up at 7:45 to get in. He said 8:15 at the latest would be the best way to do it without fast passes. I doubt I can get them at 30 days except for late evening which sucks because you can't abuse the fast pass system then. I'm all about using double digit fast passes each day. Our hotel is next to Animal Kingdom so I'll bring breakfast and eat in line With the kids around 8.
