I’m scheduled to go the first week of May. Holding out until they say it’s closed one way or the other. If not just will try and reschedule for June or July.

The problem with rescheduling is availability of rooms. On the other hand, the economy will be royalty fricked at that point so there may be many cancellations due to economic reasons.

We're DVC members with a vacation planned for March 28th - April 3rd. I've been checking days since mid February - just in case. I was shocked at the availability during that week and the weeks following, considering it is still spring break for parts of the country. We do split stays and were scheduled for 2 days each at the Grand Floridian, Bay Lake Tower, and a cabin at Copper Creek. I just looked and am able to move the vacation forward 4 months and still get the same exact rooms based on availability. Disney was already having issues filling rooms based on price hikes and this virus is going to make things a lot worse from them going forward.

We rescheduled over the weekend and got the exact same type of room we had originally.

We rescheduled our first week of May to the first week of June (because we didn't have a choice due to Disney being closed). We wanted to move to later in the year, but the first week of June was the only week when Animal Kingdom Lodge was available to book for more than 1 or 2 days (and those were not consecutive nights).

We are using DVC points so that might have something to do with it.

Staying there at the same time with DVC points, too.

Earlier today I was able to swap a Kali River Rapids Fastpass for an Expedition Everest FP. EE has a single rider line so I’m going to keep hoping to snag an Avatar FP in its place.

See you at Jiko!

Right on man. Fast passes have been the biggest problem for us so far, because Disney didn't cancel on us until we were already in the 60 FP window for the first week of June. We are doing 6 days in the parks: 2 in HS, 2 in MK, 1 each in AK and Epcot. Somehow I have managed to get Slinky Dog Dash and Na'vi River Ride. I'd drop Na'vi in a second for FoP though. I've been checking multiple times a day.

We're staying over at Kidani Village so we're doing Sanaa this time for lunch on our checkout day, June 8.

ETA: I snagged a Seven Dwarves Mine Train fast pass on our first day. I couldn't believe it.

Wow - getting that or Thunder Mountain is a big goal for me now although Thunder Mountain is supposed to be pretty accessible at park open.

There is a conspiracy theory going around that Disney hasn’t released as many Fastpasses as usual for the beginning of June. I don’t know what it’s like normally but I was online the second we hit the 60 day mark and all the best rides were already full. I got great dining reservations at 6 months so I was surprised.

I just hope the place is open by then! Hope you have a great time.

I've seen folks saying that also. I think more will open up as it gets closer to time. Especially as people chicken out and start cancelling.

We're scheduled for the first week in July. Was supposed to be there next week.

Looks like they've now removed all park hours through May 24th. Maybe they'll open the last week of May, but I'm happy as long as they open the first week of June.

I imagine they will open June 1 if they can because they don't want to have to redo all of the rescheduling if they can help it.

Planning on being there the first week of July. I think they will be open but I’m curious how they will handle limiting the capacity so much. Will it be a first come first serve policy or will the guarantee on property guests admittance?

I saw somewhere that Disney's average capacity throughout the year is around 58%. They only hit capacity 1 or 2 days a year. Orange County Florida's task force calls for theme parks to have 50% capacity during phase 1 (which technically starts Monday in Florida), so it doesn't seem like Disney would have to adjust much to make that work. Phase 2 calls for 75% occupancy, which would fully coverage average attendance for most of the year at Disney.
