Anyone been to Denver lately? Stayed a few days going and coming to the mountains. I’ve been traveling there for years. The older neighborhoods are still great, but downtown in just a year or two has turned into junkie, lunatic, homeless land. What happened?

It’s very gross downtown. There is a not so silent push to get them out, but they just move from place to place. I don’t have much sympathy.

I was there last summer. Stayed in golden for a few nights, then boulder, then denver.

Denver was a mess. I asked two local bartender types what happened and they both said the same thing. Legalization sent all types to Denver. Some had the means to live in a big expensive city, others did not. The drugs sorted out the haves from the have nots.

The haves are mostly west coast rich kids with jobs and the funds to live however they want.

the have nots are now the junkie lunatics

Spend 4 nights in Golden area recently. Stayed at Orgins at RedRock. Nice clean place and great location. Spend a day at royal gourge, a day in Boulder and a day in Frisco.

Legalization almost 7 years ago is to blame for their recent decline? Sounds suspect af.
