Christmas Things To Do with the Family during Covid?

I know of some of the "usual" things to do around South LA this time of year, but see most are adjusted because of Covid or Canceled.
Any great alternatives? Weather is going to be great this weekend and not much planned, looking to do some festive things with the kids.
TIA!

Movies of course:
Watching the Snowman is a holiday classic for us. Kids love it. All ages do. Or the perennial Christmas Story.
Decorate a tree or bush together outside.
Hiking (if available?).
Bonfire / fire pit / Smores (if available?)
Adopt a dog (we did recently! )
Volunteer at a food bank or local church food drive (if possible)

^^ love all those ideas, plus a couple more:
--decorate that bush/shrub outside with some bird-friendly stuff, like garlands of popcorn, pinecones rolled in peanut butter & birdseed, or just hang a bird feeder. Birdwatching is a low cost, interesting, outdoor family activity that can be quite good in south LA in the winter. We get lots of species moving through. If your kids are artsy/crafty, they can keep a nature journal to record what they see at their backyard feeders.
--drive around & look at lights--a throwback activity. Your local Nextdoor or neighborhood FB group will probably offer leads on where to see the best stuff.
--bake (or make candy) together. Sure, you won't be able to eat it all, but sugar & flour are pretty cheap, and you can do porch drop offs to elderly or at risk ppl you know who can't get out much right now. Or bake bread, if you think sugar is the devil.
--go for a walk in the woods, or the park, or on the levee. Cooler weather makes for much more pleasant walking.
--decorate family bikes w/lights & christmas stuff, and go on a tour of your 'hood, spreading cheer.
--make smores, even if you have to do so on the porch over a can of sterno or a candle. Better if you can build an actual fire outside. You don't need a fancy firepit or chiminea; a circle of bricks on the ground is sufficient. Combine with a walk in the woods to pick up fallen branches/sticks to take home for the fire.

Not sure where you are. New Orleans City park has drive through lights. Lafreniere Park has drive through lights.

Yeah those are good suggestions.
Also in City Park you could go to Cafe Du Mond in there before seeing the lights. They have a great mini golf course (two courses actually) and I’m assuming the little amusement park will be open.
If so riding the train through City Park is always neat for the kids

The line to Xmas in the Oaks was all the way down Wisner to Carrollton when I rode by the other night. Has anyone went? Looked like a shitshow

I was wondering about this. With only pre-sold ticketed cars allowed, what's to stop all those folks who don't know you need a ticket ahead of time (like was always done in years past) from cramming up Wisner and waiting for an entrance they'll be denied?
I'd love to do it for nostalgia's sake but don't think I can deal with the dumbassity.

Send Christmas cards to family, friends and veterans c/o VA hospitals or homes. Go caroling in your neighborhood. If you can set up a projection screen, watch Christmas movies outside. Help to provide Christmas for a child and/or family.
