Powder Mountain in Eden, UT. North of Park City.

If all you care about is skiing and zero touristy / nightlife stuff this is the place.

I can vouch for Wolf Creek along with Purgatory. The only negative is no airport close by. Also consider Taos and Angel Fire in NM. You can fly into Albuquerque and get car rental for no more than a couple hours drive from airport.

I agree that’s a negative but also a positive when you consider it keeps the crowds away except during Texas week. The week I went I never had a lift line and we got 3 feet of snow. Wolf Creek typically gets the most snow in CO every season. To me the worst part of Wolf Creek is the multiple flat areas and being a snowboarder it’s gets tiring having to skate for stretches

Taos Air has a flight into the local airport. Free shuttle back and forth to the base. Took it this past winter.

In Colorado, I like Monarch Mnt in terms of what you're looking for.
