We are hitting EPM in July and I cannot wait. We did ERC last summer and it probably had some of the best food for an all inclusive I could remember.
Excellence does a very good job.

Now y’all have me considering dropping excellence club

I would save the money. It gets you extra snacks and your own beach area that’s right next to the regular beach

Not to hijack but what is Cancun like during the winter months, lets say Nov- Feb?

The wife is looking at different vacation places and Dreams Playa Mujerus in Cancun is tops on the list. What can anyone tell me about this place with 3 kids (12,10,6)?
Just go to Destin. There's no culture in Cancun. That's a waste of money on flights.

Generally perfect weather. The stormy season is behind and the temps are perfect with no humidity. Our favorite time to go to Isla Mujeres (right off the coast from Cancun) is February or March.
November can be a little iffy as it is still hurricane season.

Excellence. End of story. I’ve been twice and while there have talked to others who have been elsewhere and they keep telling me excellence is the place to be.
Last time I went the crowd skewed younger and it was a little rowdy due to the stimmy money.
Ran into an old good friend from BR after he posted up next to us on the beach. Totally random.

Honestly I would save the money u less having a good beach view from your room is important to you (plus snack).

I’m here at EPM now in EC. The little things like upgraded minibar and upgraded liquor in room and “petit fours” during turndown service are meaningless and not worth it really. And the beach loungers in all sections of the beach are the same and look to get the same drink service. And we haven’t even hung out in the EC pool since we all gather in the main pool. There are two main differences that are significant though.
First, you get access to Magna which is the EC restaurant and we found the food and service to be superior there. Second, there are certain buildings which are EC and they are closer to the beach, restaurants and main pool. The non EC rooms are identical and just as beautiful but located in the back of the resort which is very very quiet if that is what you are looking for.
We are having a blast … fun vibe with lots of honeymoon couples up to couples in their 50s like us. Some dancing event on terrace each night and our group has gotten a bit rowdy. We have almost 50 people in our group and are going to make it an annual trip.
As an aside, several couples went to Isla Mujeres yesterday and the vast majority said they wish they had stayed here instead which is what we did.

I cant imagine anything beats the Grand Moon Palace. Ive done all inclusives all across the gulf/carribean but the past few years Im not really interested in going anywhere else anymore. Im going back for a third straight summer in June. The only thing it doesnt get a 10/10 on is the beach. We do take a free shuttle one day out of the trip to the beaches in the resort area of downtown Cancun when we want to have a beach day, but Id much rather spend my day at the pool anyway with the swim up bars and all the other amenities right at your fingertips.

I much prefer Hyatt Ziva than moon palace.

Moon Palace is just so damned big. Nothing at all wrong with the food, nothing with the seemingly endless pools.
It doesn’t have a “culture” for lack of a better word. I guess it seems just so generic to me.
