Does anyone have any advice for attending the practice shoes at NAS Pensacola for the Blue Angels? Do they get crowded?

Rent a pontoon boat in Perdido, anchor at sand island by Pensacola pass, enjoy! Just pay attention to "no wake zones" as PoPo usually patrolling during high traffic times on the water.

Can you get on the base? When I was stationed there, all you had to do was look up. They were always practicing.

I'm assuming you mean shows? Fort Pickens is a great place to watch them, but if you are in actual Pensacola and not Pcola beach thats a long drive.

Be mindful of the 3 Mile Bridge construction and issues due to the barge hitting the bridge, so traffic is terrible these days. That may sway your decision depending on where you are coming from.
