Considering the location of the Superdome, most of the best hotels in the city will be "near" the Dome (also depends on your definition of near).

The Roosevelt, Windsor Court, Ritz...none of them are very far.

However, the Hyatt as others have mentioned is literally next door, so you can't really beat that.

I just stayed there Sunday night. Very nice hotel. We ate at Maypop across the street too which was phenomenal.

Can't beat Hyatt Regency if you want the shortest walk. If you don't mind taking an Uber/Lyft or walking a half mile then I'd recommend the NOPSI hotel.

I recommend looking at the Hyatt House. It’s next door to the regular Hyatt and every room has a separate bedroom/living room.

Plenty of good suggestions so far, but right down Poydras is also Drury Inn, La Pavillion(sp) and another decent chain place right in that area.

Loved the look of the hotel, but had a bad customer service experience there. Very undertrained staff.

All of the suggestions here are good. The Drury has a nice free breakfast as well as free popcorn and drinks available all day/ night long.

And from 5:30p - 7:00p they have a free dinner as well. Not that I'd recommend their dinner over the many options downtown.
