If you love the outdoors, don't want to live in a huge city, and don't want to spend a fortune on housing (for now), it's hard to beat Boise, Idaho. When it's cold, I'm usually snowboarding at Bogus Basin. When it gets real hot, my wife and I like to float the Boise River. When it's in between, I mountain bike the foothills or the bike park at Bogus Basin. The Payette River provides quality whitewater rafting. The only outdoor activity that isn't available is surfing.

My best friend packed up his family and moved to Fort Collins, CO 3 years ago. I’ve visited him a couple times and cannot think of a more ideal place to live. If I didn’t feel so attached to my family here in south LA, I’d move to that area without thinking twice.

Been in Nashville for over 20 years. Don't come here. There's no social life. Terrible restaurant and bar scene. No outdoor activities. Everyone around here must be at least 80. And you hear "Go Vaawwllls" all over the place.

Boise seems great. I’ve been telling my gf we need to leave Denver and go to Boise.
