Currently in the middle of a blizzard warning, already got about 17" of snow plus another 5-10" on the way, and do not feel like working anymore .

Anyone need assistance with flights today? Post requests below and I can at least give you some starting price points.

5pm edit: Blizzard is in effect, 2-3" per hour with 45 mph winds. Airport has zero visibility, can't see in front of your face blowing snow. Picture a desert sandstorm except with snow, it's awesome to see

Not today, but can you help me figure out how to use a BA ticket? Bought a nonrefundable AUS-LHR ticket for someone who then couldn't make the trip; parked the (substantial) value of the ticket w/BA, thinking it could be used later, and now this fool can't leave the country. Said fool's departure airport is Austin....where can I send Said Fool? I can't get BA's damn website to show many any itineraries using Austin as a starting point that aren't international. TIA....

Not a specific date in mind but when would be the best time to book a round trip flight between MSY-BOI? Probably a 3-4 day trip depending on airfare any time after mid June

Round trip flights to Cancun from Louisiana [LFT (Lafayette), AEX (Alexandria), BTR (Baton Rouge), or MSY (NOLA)] in June. Looking to go for 5 or 6 nights.

We live in Lafayette but are willing to drive to another airport if the flights are that much cheaper

Get to work!

MSY or nearby to SIN between July 12-28 if possible. I know there's a United direct from SFO that offers the fewest connections and quickest travel time, but it would be nice to fly Singapore or Emirates etc for that long of a flight...

Short travel trip in Europe: Flying into Amsterdam 7/19 and out of Paris 7/27. Dates aren’t really flexible due to work schedule. Should I purchase sooner or later? What websites should I be checking? Thanks!

I'm checking the BA sites to see their refund policy but not seeing much in terms of how long the ticket is good for. Most US airlines it's 1 year from the ticket purchase date.

For booking BA tickets, they don't have the rights apparently for US to US tickets. Just tried AUS to LAX and this popped up

Error

British Airways does not have traffic rights to operate directly between these two cities.

I usually see some early summer sales in about a month (3-4 months out from flight date). There's usually a spring sale on all the airlines that sometimes extends to the second or third week of june, that will be your best bet. Now if you wait for July or August, it's going to be a good bit more expensive I bet

Crap. The ticket value expires on June 9. He can't leave the country before then. Money down the drain.

Lafayette- Cancun is $398 for almost the whole month but you will have a connection. Have your pick of American, Delta, or United.

Nola- Cancun ranges from $295 up to $415. The $295 is on American or Southwest. Southwest you at least get the free checked bag so there's $25/piece you'd save, for two bags roundtrip that's $100. The $415 is for the nonstop which would probably be the only way I'd drive down to Nola from Laffy area. Convenience factor of a nonstop, but a con of driving.

Alexandria- Cancun is $447 on any of the airlines.

Baton Rouge is $367 for the whole month on any of the airlines.

I'd still hold out for about two months for cheaper fares, but this is a good starting point. $295 isn't bad in my opinion

$1778 for the onestop in San Fran, $1550 for two stops with only about 3 hours more travel time. Is this for work or personal travel? I usually like splitting up the legs into reasonable travel amounts since it gives me time to stretch out. You could do jetblue to boston to Dubai on emirates at 30 hours.

Thanks

This is for personal travel to see family. With a one year old

The debate is getting the pain over quickly as possible or breaking it up over multiple segments.

Wow, $112 on United for the PHL - SAN segment. I'd book that in a heartbeat and hope for a schedule change between now and September then switch to whatever flights you want for free. The nonstops are a lot pricier than this LINK

$181 for Philly to Austin

Where would you prefer to fly out of, Charlotte (American) or Raleigh (Delta)?

$1772 out of Charlotte with a stop on the way there, nonstop back.

$1991 out of Raleigh with a stop on the way there, nonstop back.

$1958 from Greensboro, stops both ways.

I haven't seen anything cheap for summer yet so you've got some time before booking. International travel I'd book at least 1-1.5 months in advance, especially for July. I generally use google flights since it's easily accessible. You may also want to set up some tracking alerts on it for multiple one-way searches (RDU-AMS, CLT-AMS, CDG-RDU, CDG-CLT) so you have consistent price points to look at.

Thanks! We’ll be flying out of Charlotte. I’m meeting up with family from South Carolina.

You might want to have him call in and see if they'll extend the ticket deadline for him. Or see if he can buy a ticket before the deadline but not travel until later in say September or October

Absolutely, it's a tough decision. That all depends on the kid right? Hopefully he/she is a good traveler. I guess if you split it up, first flight kid can sleep, second flight sleep and third flight keep them awake to get adjusted to the new time zone. Some variation of that order

Cuse:

Planning 2 trips:

BTR, AEX, or LFT to Knoxville in May or June.

BTR, AEX, or LFT to Anchorage any time in July.

When is the best time to book these 2?

Anything you see that is special?
