Love KLM and Schiphol but supposedly their delays right now are epic. I would make it a minimum 8-12 hour connection.

Wouldn't this be counterintuitive? If they have epic delays, I'd think you'd be more than fine with a short 45-90 minute layover as its likely to be delayed and give you extra time?

As of last month it didn't matter how early you got to AMS - 4 hours before your flight was the earliest you could enter the airport departure hall.

Not sure if they still do this but KLM used to give little delft pottery houses to passengers. Still have a little row of them on the bookshelf from the 90s.

Ahh. To fly in the 90s again. Smoking sections, thin women and pottery miniatures. Everything a real man could ever want.

We flew AF last week out of Houston to Paris. Flight was delayed a bit, no issues otherwise.

CDG is a mess as well right now. Our connecting flight was delayed about two hours and the airport is a bit chaotic with summer travel. Hopefully it will be better next summer as someone else said.

Air France was incredible from Paris to Palermo. Now, that's coming from someone who flies coach Spirit and American stateside
