Anybody got a recommendation for for a ranch in Texas to stay at for a few days?

Haven't personally stayed, but know family who have and they all really enjoyed it. Deer Lake Cabins

Not sure if this is the type of thing you are looking for. NE Texas so a little further from SE Louisiana.

I live 5 mins from there.

The YO Ranch Headquarters west of Kerrville has been redone to host guests and events.
YO. Probably not cheap once you add everything up though.

There are a number of cool VRBO places on large acreages that would offer alot of things to do. Depending on interests I would look along the hill country rivers in the middle of nowhere. Like Junction area. Just start clicking away on their map feature.

The Milk and Honey ranch looks fun if you had a big group.
