Any good cruise deals out of Nola or Mobile?

Wife is itching for a getaway and I've heard cruises are still pretty cheap at the moment. I've never been on one and am not sure I would love it but she went many years ago and had a great time.

If you are looking for the cheapest cruises out of Nola or Mobile(especially), you are just asking for a horrible time.

Carnival is now cruising out of Mobile starting this past week. Will continue from now until October.

Do not cruise out of Nola or Mobile.
Pick a cruise out of Florida ( any port in Florida) or Galveston….. trust me.

Family cruised out of NOLA a few years back to Honduras, Belize and Cozumel.
I like leaving from there better than the Florida ports.

If we get a boot boat to come to Nola and do the 7 night cruises, it tends to be less trashier

Yes, I made this mistake like 8 years ago. I've pretty much sworn off cruises because of that

Seems like Carnival is saving their best prices for repeat customers. Wife and I are "gold" tier. She took a friend last week for a 5 night, and the fare was $0. You just had to pay taxes, port fees, and gratuity.
Right now there is a 5 night on Carnival Valor without return customer (VIFP) rates... it is $657.62 for two people including prepaid gratuities. Departs March 26th returns March 31.
Valor is a good ship. It's not huge, but it has plenty to do. Two sea days and two port days.
As far as comments... if you are the type of person that cares about who is on the ship with you, even though you will never interact with them... then a NOLA cruise might not be best for you.
If you just want to have fun and don't care about others... it's fine.
Carnival Cruises - especially out of NOLA - are not for snobs, though.
