I am a lurker around Tiger Droppings, and never feel I need to post, but curious if anyone has traveled with a young toddler and your experience with how strict flight attendants have been keeping a mask on your toddler?

Famous? Of what?
It depends on the airline and the flight attendants

It depends on airline and your destination.
It also depends on whether or not the FA just wants to be a huge bitch for no reason.
You could be totally fine, repeatedly asked to put their mask back on, or removed entirely depending on how the FA is feeling that day.

Make sure you’ve got their sippy cup out where it at least appears the child is attempting to take a drink

i just flew with my 2.5yr old. allegiant one way, united coming back. she didn't wear a mask at all and was never asked to. on the allegiant flight, we had the very front row and were chatting with the FAs a bit, so it's not like she went unnoticed.
i spent most of both flights with my mask down and drink in hand and nobody said a thing.

On a recent flight, I had some mask nazi's. Like walking up and down the aisle reminding people to put their mask up between bites/sips of water.
Then on the return flight, the attendants didn't care at all and didn't wear theirs properly either

I flew recently with my 3 year old and he was required to wear a mask at the gate. However once we got on the plane, the flight crew didn’t seem to care. Just make sure to bring snacks on the flight because if they are eating, they can’t say anything.

I was on a ten hour flight from Istanbul on Sunday and our whole business class cabin went maskless once meal service began. Popped them back on about 15 minutes before landing. Was great. Not sure what they were doing in economy. Some airlines, like Cathay, have a specific exclusion for business class due to the pods and spacing. Turkish air doesn't have an official policy from what I recall.
Anyway, last time I've flown with my son was the day before his 2nd birthday last November. I haven't risked it since and it pisses me off.
I've tentatively booked a hotel in Cancun for a little post second child trip with the whole family. Hopefully that mask mandate dies in September.

We travelled with our less than 2 year old. I saw some others with masks on, but it completely depends on both the airline and airplane crew as to how strict they want to be.
It was much nicer when they were blocking the middle seats as we were assured the whole row to ourselves.
